Readers and reviewers alike are praising HENRY: A Polish Swimmer’s True Story of Friendship from Auschwitz to America. Not only is Henry’s amazing story out in the world locally and nationally, people are getting the word about how many Poles suffered during WWII as well. As I’ve said in the epigraph to the book: “The past actually happened, but history is only what someone wrote down” by A. Whitney Brown.
Here is some of the latest news – all of it great!
The Polish American Journal chose HENRY as its book review for the month of October 2017. The Journal is a national publication for Polish-Americans. It’s a huge honor for them to review HENRY. Per the Journal, “This is a much-needed addition to your library.” Click to read the full review.
The Ahwatukee Foothills News ran a fabulous feature article on HENRY on October 29, 2017, entitled “From Auschwitz to Ahwatukee, Local Man’s Life Detailed.” Click here to read the full article.

GREAT EVENTS AND PRESENTATIONS
Tune into The Authors Show for an original radio broadcast. They did a wonderful job with the interview and it came out great! It will be aired (online) for 24 hours on November 1, 6, 15, and 20, Channel 3. Click here to listen on these dates.
The official Book Launch is scheduled for Tuesday, November 28, 2017 @ 7:00 p.m., at Changing Hands Bookstore, 6428 S. McClintock Dr., Tempe, AZ 85283. They have a book cover of HENRY posted high and visible in the store. Support indie bookstores when you can. Click here to read the event posting
I am participating in Local Author Day at Barnes & Noble, Chandler Fashion Mall, Chandler Arizona on November 18, 2017 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. I have a special gift for anyone who stops by!
On October 26, I was honored to present to the House Veterans Caucus at the Arizona Legislature about the book, and “Honoring History by Capturing Memories.” I presented each member of the caucus with a copy of HENRY. There are many parallels between Henry Zguda’s three years in German concentration camps and a veteran returning from a foreign war. Representative Lawrence invited me back to present again when the House is in session.
On November 11, 2017, Polish Independence Day, I will again be honored as a guest at the Polish Heritage Ball. Thank you again to the Polish-American Congress for their support. Here’s a pic from last year. The Congress knows how to host an elegant event!
Remember – you have until November 11 to enter a Goodreads giveaway for one of ten free signed copies of HENRY. Click here to enter. (Scroll down just a bit.)
November 2, I will be presenting to the East Valley Jewish Community Center in Chandler, on HENRY and shared Polish history.
My latest book trailer has over 3,000 views on Facebook!
GETTING THE WORD OUT!
Remember that authors LOVE reviews on Amazon. They are critical to spreading the success, so if you have read HENRY, please consider leaving an online review (even if you bought it elsewhere or received it as a gift.) A review can be as short as “Loved it!”
As you can see, I’ve been busy! More news to come soon. Please SHARE the word about HENRY and keep the excitement growing.
With gratitude for everyone’s support,
Important Note: There was a printing error with the earliest copies that shipped from Amazon. If you received one of the earlier copies, it could have been the pre-release edition. Please click here to compare book covers. Contact me if you received the pre-release edition. My publisher will replace them at no charge only through November 10.
